Groede, in Zealand-Flanders, Dutch province of Zeeland, formerly the seat of a Mennonite congregation. Sometimes this congregation was called Cadzand; after 1743 it was usually called the Mennonite Congregation of Nieuwvliet in 't Land van Cadzand. The history of this congregation has been described in the article Cadzand. A house in Groede, bought and adapted for use as a Mennonite meetinghouse (1647), was confiscated.
