Salem Mennonite Church, Shickley, Nebraska, USA, emerged in 1891 from a new settlement of Amish Mennonites from the East Fairview congregation in Seward County, Nebraska.
Initially, the congregation met in a schoolhouse near Shickley, but after the first year moved to the township hall. In 1904, it built a meetinghouse several miles from Shickley. In 1966, it built a new church.
As part of the realignment of the Mennonite Church (MC) and General Conference Mennonite Church into Mennonite Church USA, Salem Mennonite was among the congregations that joined the new Central Plains Mennonite Conference in 2000.
In 2023 the congregation was part of the Central Plains Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
