Nette Lipkes (Lupkes, Lypkens), was a Dutch Anabaptist preacher at the time of Menno Simons. The two met in 1557 at Dokkum, Friesland, where Nette apparently was a preacher. They went together via Franeker to Harlingen, where the discussion on the ban took place. Afterwards, about 1562, Nette seems to have been an elder in 't Oversticht, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. In 1566, when the strife between the Frisians and Flemish broke out, he was one of the elders called in to mediate. Finally he sided with the Flemish group. He died at Dokkum in 1567.
