Congresos Menonitas Latinoamericanos (Latin American Mennonite Conferences). The first regional conference for Mennonite groups in Latin America was held at Bogotá, Colombia, 12-18 February 1968. It was followed by meetings at Montevideo, Uruguay , 11-15 July 1972; Alajuela, Costa Rica, 8-12 July 1975; San Antonio, Tex., 19-22 July 1978; and Bogotá, Colombia, 5-6 November 1982. The theme of the fifth and last conference was "Violence and Peace in Our Midst."
