Rudolf Bartel, b. 18 April 1875, at [[Deutsch-Kazun (Poland)|Deutsch-Kazun]], near Warsaw, [[Poland|Poland]], was married to Eleonore Bartel in 1904. He was chosen minister of the [[Deutsch-Kazun (Poland)|Deutsch-Kazun Mennonite Church]] in 1911, and ordained elder the following year.
