Bench Hutterite Colony in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, was founded in 1952 (Hofer says 1953[1]) as a division from the Old Elm Spring Hutterite Colony (Magrath, Alberta, Canada).

Daughter colonies of the Bench Hutterite Colony include: Clear Spring Hutterite Colony (Kenaston, Saskatchewan, Canada); and Sierra Hutterite Colony (Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Canada).

In 2023 the Bench Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
