Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church (MC), Quakertown, Pennsylvania, began as a mission in 1931 after several young men circulated a monthly tract The Way in the community then populated with Italians, other southern Europeans, Native Americans and African Americans. Linford D. Hackman was named the first superintendent; future pastor Abram K. Landis was secretary-treasurer of the first Sunday school.
Rocky Ridge became a congregation of the Franconia Mennonite Conference in 1949. The meetinghouse was built in 1948; there was a subsequent building project in 1972. In 1950 Ernest K. Moyer became the pastor, and served for over 40 years. He also established a chick hatchery nearby.

In 1951 Quakertown Christian School was established.
