Lynken (Lijnken) Jacops was an Anabaptist martyr, drowned at the Steen castle at Antwerp, Belgium, on 30 December 1558. Van Braght calls this martyr Lijntgen, and gives only the year of execution, not the exact date, giving only brief information. From the records it is known that she was born at Dilsen, in the territory of Liege, Belgium, the daughter of a boatman. According to Lietboecxken van den Offer des Heeren she was "Hendricks Joncwijf," i.e., she was married to Hendrick shortly before. Together with Lynken three other martyrs died. The four women, each of them crookedly bound with ropes, died steadfastly and peacefully. Lijnken is celebrated in the hymn "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), No. 16 of the Lietboecxken van den Offer des Heeren.
