She was 28 years of age, a daughter of Gherolf and a native of Merendree in Flanders. She was burned at the stake together with four other women, among whom were her sisters [[Vijnken de Jonckheere (ca. 1532-1562)|Vijntgen]] and [[Janneken de Jonckheere (ca. 1536-1562)|Janneken]], because they "persisted in their rebaptism."
