The name of Magdalena, who was a native of Maastricht, Dutch province of Limburg, is found in two hymns: "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), of the Lietboecxken van den Offer des Heeren (No. 16) and "Babels Raets Mandamenten" (The mandates of the Council of Babel are thus executed), which hymn is found both in the Nieu Liedenboeck of 1562 and in Lietboecxken van den Offer des Heeren of 1563.
