Jacob van Yperen (also called Jacob van Houte), an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake at Antwerp, Belgium, on 22 May 1557. (Van Braght in the Martyrs' Mirror says he was beheaded and does not give exact date.) His name is found in the song "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader," No. 16 of the Lietboecxken van den Offer des Heeren.
