Dierick (Dirk) Lambrechts (or Lambertsz), an Anabaptist martyr, originally from Voorthuizen near Deventer, Holland, a wool-weaver, was executed at Ghent, Belgium, on 12 April 1563, by being burned at the stake. Van Braght only mentions the fact of the execution without giving the date. Dierick is also celebrated in a song found in the supplement to the Liedtboecxken van den Offer des Heeren: "Alsmen schreef duyst vijfhondert jaar, ende twee ent sestich mede."
