Gerhard and Justina (Loewen) Neufeld.

Gerhard Neufeld: minister and elder; born 23 October 1827 in Fürstenau, Molotschna Mennonite Settlement, South Russia. He was the son of Peter Neufeld (12 April 1789, Neukirch, Gross Werder, Prussia – 17 January 1846, Fürstenau, Molotschna, South Russia) and Katharina (Peters) Neufeld (26 December 1789 – 28 December 1852, Fürstenau, Molotschna, South Russia). He was the youngest of 7 children. Gerhard married Anna Teichroew (10 November 1830, Wernersdorf, Molotschna – 14 March 1869, Fürstenau, Molotschna) on 24 January 1850 in Wernersdorf, Molotschna. She was the daughter of Peter Johann Teichroew (ca. 1794-1839) and Justina (Friesen) Teichroew (ca. 1797-1843). Gerhard and Anna had six children: Katharina, Anna, Maria, Gerhard, Peter, and Heinrich. After Anna’s death, Gerhard married Justina (Loewen) Bergen (1 March 1826, Tiegenhagen, Molotschna, South Russia - 11 January 1905, Mountain Lake, Minnesota, USA) on 13 November 1875. Gerhard died on 15 December 1916 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, where he was buried.
