Adolfina Henrietta Annette Bakker, born 27 July 1907 and died 8 October 1983. Following the writing of her New Testament dissertation ("The Study of Codex Evang. Bobbiensis (K) ") in 1933, Bakker lectured at the National University in Utrecht until 1940. In October of that year she became pastor of the Mennonite congregations in Middelburg and Goes. She served until her retirement in August 1972, meanwhile also having added the congregation at Vlissingen in 1968.
Bakker continued her academic work by collaborating with D.Plooij and C. A. Phillips on an edition of the Liege Diatessaron, a medieval Scripture manuscript.
