Jasper de Taschringmaker (official name Jaspar Hermansz), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr burned at the stake at [[Antwerp (Belgium)|Antwerp]], [[Belgium|Belgium]] on 22 June 1569. Jasper de Taschringmaker (official name Jaspar Hermansz), an Anabaptist martyr burned at the stake at Antwerp, Belgium on 22 June 1569. He was living at Borgerhout near Antwerp and was a weetdoener of the congregation; i.e., he had to announce the place and time of the meetings. His property was confiscated and sold, realizing a rather considerable amount. His wife Maeyken Janssens van der Goes and his youthful daughter Nelleken Jaspers both died as martyrs.
