The first services were held in private homes about 1925, but later, with the exception of a few years were held in a Brethren church nearby. The work was in charge of the district mission board of Washington County, Maryland, and Franklin County, Pennsylvania, Mennonite Conference. The 1953 membership was six. In 1954 a meetinghouse was built for the group by the Mennonites of Washington County, Maryland.
