Peter J. Boehr was born 2 April 1886 to John and Anna Regier Boehr in [[Henderson (Nebraska, USA)|Henderson]], [[Nebraska (USA)|Nebraska]]. He attended public school in Henderson, received his state teacher's certificate from York College in 1908, and attended a Bible training school in [[Fort Wayne (Indiana, USA)|Fort Wayne]], [[Indiana (USA)|Indiana]].
