Homewood Hutterite Colony was founded in 1962 (Hofer says 1960)[1] as a division from the Lakeside Hutterite Colony (Cartier, Manitoba, Canada).
Daughter colonies of the Homewood Hutterite Colony include: Cypress Hutterite Colony (Cypress River, Manitoba, Canada), and Vermillion Hutterite Colony (Sanford, Manitoba, Canada).
In 2025 Homewood Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 1 colony.
