Gielis van Gent, an Anabaptist martyr, executed by beheading at Antwerp, Belgium, in 1559. Particulars are lacking, unless he is identical with Michiel (Jelis) Bernaerts. Gielis van Gent is not found in van Braght, Martyrs' Mirror.
