Christiaen van Wettere (Wetteren), born at Ghent, Belgium, an Anabaptist martyr, by trade a dobbelweerckere, was burned at the stake on the Vrijdagsmarkt at Ghent on 9 November 1563, together with Antheunis Behaghe. His name is listed as No. 12 in the song, "Liedeken van 41 Vrienden," in the Liedtboecxken van den Offer des Heeren.
