Perceval van den Berge, an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake at Rijssel (Lille), France, on 16 March 1563, with five other brethren. He was a native of Zwevigem in Belgium, lived in Doornik, and was seized while visiting the preacher Jan de Swarte at Halewijn (Halluin) on 7 March 1563.
