Frans (Francoys) van Leuvene, an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, born at [[Ghent (Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium)|Ghent]], [[Belgium|Belgium]], a weaver, was put to death at Ghent with three others, "not on account of any misdeed, but only because they, according to the command of the eternal God, had separated from this corrupt world, which lies in inhuman wickedness, and sought, according to their weak ability, to follow Christ in the regeneration."
