Berthold Heinrich Brockes (born 22 September 1680, died 16 January 1747) was a city senator of [[Hamburg-Altona Mennonite Church (Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Germany)|Hamburg]] and author of the famous <em>Irdisches Vergnügen in Gott, </em>a collection of religious observations on nature. Berthold Heinrich Brockes (born 22 September 1680, died 16 January 1747) was a city senator of Hamburg and author of the famous Irdisches Vergnügen in Gott, a collection of religious observations on nature. He was a friend of Jakob Denner, the noted Mennonite preacher, and wrote a poem on his death.
