Geraert (Geert) Passamentwerker (official name, Geraerdt Franssens), an Anabaptist martyr of Thienen, Belgium, was burned at the stake at Antwerp on 16 December 1558. He remained steadfast in his suffering and is celebrated in the song "Aenhoort Godt Hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), in the Liedtboecx\en van den Offer des Heeren (No. 16).
