Lake View Hutterite Colony was founded in 1988 as a division from the Maxwell (South Dakota) Hutterite Colony. In 2012 the Lake View Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony. The minister was Eli Hofer and the manager was Joe Hofer.
