Cypress Hutterite Colony was founded in 1975 as a division from the Homewood Hutterite Colony. In 2012 Cypress Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 Colony. The minister was Joseph Hofer Jr. and the manager was Conrad Hofer.
MillsHof Hutterite Colony is a daughter colony of Cypress Colony.
