Martin du Petitz (Petis) was an Anabaptist martyr, and was burned at the stake on 21 or 22 October 1551, at Antwerp, Belgium, with Peter Bruynen and three others. Martin was a native of Kortrijk (Courtrai) in Flanders and a chairmaker by trade. He was sentenced to death because he "had been rebaptized and persisted in his heresy." Van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror mentions him as "another brother," not giving his name.
