Maeyken Pieters, a Mennonite woman, wife of the martyr Willeboort Cornelisz, was arrested on 19 January 1562, at [[Ghent (Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium)|Ghent]], [[Belgium|Belgium]], and imprisoned in the Gravesteen castle of Ghent. Here she gave birth to a child, which immediately was baptized in a Catholic church.
