Diericxken Roels, wife of Mathys Baseliers, an Anabaptist martyr, was executed by drowning at Antwerp, Belgium, on 19 November 1573. During the trial she admitted that she had been rebaptized and had attended meetings of Mennonites, and also that Mennonite meetings had been held in her house.
