Wieringerwaard, an old polder reclaimed in 1610 in the Dutch province of North Holland; the Mennonites living here did not form a congregation but belonged to the Barsingerhorn Waterlander congregation. They, however, had a meetinghouse of their own in the hamlet of Kreil, which was renovated in 1859 and used until 1923. Wieringerwaard is sometimes inaccurately called Nieuwe Zijpe.
