Michiel (Michiell), a bookseller of Leiden, Dutch province of South Holland, an Anabaptist martyr, (re)baptized on 25 November 1534 in the home of Jacob van Wijnssen at Deventer by Hendrik Kistemaecker, was beheaded at Kempen in Overijssel on 15 February 1535, with two brethren and a sister of his faith. He rejected the Catholic doctrines of the Mass and shared the views of Melchior Hoffman concerning the Incarnation.
