Taju, on the Indonesian island of Java, acquired a hospital in 1918, built by the Dutch Mennonite Mission Association. Dr. Gramberg was for a number of years the director of this hospital. It was completely destroyed by a band of fanatical Mohammedans on 8 March 1942. For some time there was also a small Mennonite congregation at Taju, which belonged to the Margoredjo district church. (Jaarverslagen of the Dutch Mennonite Mission Association.)
