Pilgrim Fellowship Church, located 7.5 km (4.7 miles) south-west of Cochranton, [[Pennsylvania (USA)|Pennsylvania]], USA, was established in 1966. Wengerd from [[Maple Grove Amish Mennonite Church (Hadley, Pennsylvania, USA)|Maple Grove Amish Mennonite Church]] in Hadley, Pennsylvania led a group of people from the congregation to establish a new church. Wengerd was ordained as bishop of the congregation on 8 December 1968. Wengerd left to Tennessee in 1971 when the congregation elected to make a shift to the English language in order to facilitate mission outreach. Allan A. Miller was ordained bishop on 7 July 1974 and served until his move to Fairview, Missouri in 1981. Walter Sommers was ordained as bishop on 6 June 1982.
