The Meeting Place in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, came into being about 2007 as a small urban church plant of young professionals, students, and street-affected people. Sue Carr, a Mission Services Hamilton chaplain, led the effort that provided gospel and a meal to low-income persons.

In 2014 the group moved to a non-profit coffee shop on Sunday afternoons.

In 2022 the congregation was part of TruCity, a network of Hamilton churches.

In 2022 it became a provisional member of Mennonite Church Eastern Canada after being introduced to Mennonites through a relationship with The Commons.
