Zuidhollands-Zeeuwse Ring (Netherlands)
Zuidhollands (Zuidholldansch)-Zeeuwse (Zeeuwsch) Ring, an association of Mennonite congregations, founded at Middelburg in 1862 on the initiative of the Rotterdam congregation. At first this Ring included the congregations of Rotterdam, Middelburg, Dordrecht, and Vlissingen, but the next year Dordrecht withdrew, and Leiden and Ouddorp joined the Ring, the newly founded congregation of The Hague joining in 1882. About 1887 this Ring, though not dissolved, ceased activities until 1917. Since then it has held yearly meetings and in case of vacancy in the pulpit in one of the churches of the Ring the other congregations take charge. In 1959 the following eleven congregations were members of this Ring: Leiden, The Hague, Delft, Rotterdam, Dordrecht, and Ouddorp in South Holland, Goes, Middelburg, Vlissingen, and Aardenburg in Zeeland, and Breda, in North Brabant.
