Zaane, van (Zaanen, Saanen, Zanen, Zane) family

Zaane (Zaanen, Saanen, Zanen, Zane), van, a Dutch Mennonite family, found at Haarlem from the early 17th century, Jacob van Zanen, of Westroen, was trained for the ministry at the Amsterdam Seminary; he served at Oost- and West Graftdijk 1783-1805 and Hoorn 1805-d.1813, and also served as secretary of the Rijper Societeit.
