Woodson County Mennonite Brethren Church, now extinct, was founded in 1876 by a number of [[Mennonite Brethren Church|Mennonite Brethren]] families who immigrated from the [[Chortitza Mennonite Settlement (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)|Chortitza settlement]] in Russia to America.
