Woodland Centre Congregation (Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada)
The Woodland Centre Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada was established in 1994. The congregation started as an outreach by Missions Canada, the mission agency of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. Woodland Centre registered as its own charitable entity in 1999.
The outreach began with tent meetings in the Vanderhoof area in summer 1994. Minister Darrel Toews came as a missionary in November 1994 and remained in the area providing ministerial leadership. Missions Canada built a small facility that served both as a church and school. David Reimer served as the first teacher. The school was later named Woodland Centre School.
In 2019 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were Jon Lenchuck and Darrel Toews.
