Wolf, Hans (16th century)
Hans Wolf(f), a weaver of Beufeld near Strasbourg, a fanatical Anabaptist, who preached and baptized at Strasbourg in early 1526. He prophesied that the world would be destroyed on the stroke of twelve in 1533. Capito tried to change his views, but in vain. Thereupon Wolf, who sharply attacked the Reformed pastors of Strasbourg, was arrested and banished on 30 July 1526.
