Winnipeg Chinese Mennonite Brethren Church (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada)
This congregation began in 1982 with the assistance of Mennonite Central Committee and Manitoba Mennonite Brethren Missions and Church Extension with Bible studies for the Vietnamese. Soon worship services were begun in the Home Street Mennonite Church under the sponsorship of the Conference of Mennonites in Manitoba and the Manitoba Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in 1983. In August 1986 the congregation split into a Vietnamese congregation affiliated with the Conference of Mennonites in Manitoba with about 40 members, and the Chinese congregation affiliated with the Manitoba Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. On 15 February 1987 the Chinese Mennonite Brethren Church held its chartering service with 35 members.
