Wiersum, an old Mennonite family in the Dutch province of Groningen, which is derived from the same ancestor as the [[Wiersema family|Wiersema]] family. Until recent times the Wiersums were nearly all farmers, and often deacons of the Mennonite church. Eppe (Tonnisz) Wiersum (Uithuizen 1869-Rotterdam 1955) was city archivist of Rotterdam from 1904.
