The Wideman Old Order Mennonite congregation in Markham, Ontario began services in 1889. The congregation originated through division from the Mennonite Conference of Ontario over revivalism, use of English language, etc.

The meetinghouse was located on the west side of Highway 48 south of 18th Ave. Bishop Levi Grove served in the 1920s as a non-salaried congregational leader. In 1925 there were 95 members. The Markham Old Order Mennonites stopped using the Wideman meetinghouse in 1928. It had been affiliated with the Old Order Mennonite conference (1889). The language of worship was German and English.
