The Whatshan Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation in Needles, British Columbia, Canada was established in 1911. The congregation started when a group of members from Ste. Anne, Manitoba seeking a warmer climate. Their primary occupations in Needles were fruit growing, logging, and sawmills.

Approximately 20 families moved to Needles, including Minister Isaac H. Penner and Deacon Peter T. Wiebe. Over half the members came from the Greenland congregation. The rest came from Alberta and other places. Isaac Penner, the son of the minister, had a post office at Whatshan. The group had a church building that also served as the school.
