Voet, Hans (18th century)

Hans Voet (Foth) was a preacher of the Groningen Old Flemish congregation in Lithuania, and after his expulsion from there, until 1760 in the Groningen Old Flemish congregation at Schönsee in the territory of Culm, West Prussia. In 1727 and again in 1732 he wrote a letter to the Mennonites at Amsterdam complaining that the Catholic bishop of Culm was severely oppressing them so that they needed much money to satisfy the bishop and his officials.
