Valley Park Community Church (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada)
The Valley Park Community Church in Hamilton, ON began services in 1980s, and formally organized in 1983. Alvin Klippenstein is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach of the Ontario Mennonite Brethren Conference. The core group of the church disintegrated and rather than revive the congregation, the conference felt that the area was well served by other evangelical churches. During its period of activity, six persons were baptized.
In 1985 there were 16 members. The congregation dissolved in 1986 after Klippenstein returned to seminary. It had been affiliated with the Ontario Mennonite Brethren Conference, the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, and the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. The language of worship was English.
The congregation met for Sunday worship at the Albion Public School in the Albion Hills/Heritage Green Community of Stoney Creek, Ontario. Pastor Alvin Klippenstein served as pastor from 1983 to 1986.
