Treasure Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (New Plymouth, Idaho, USA)
The Treasure Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation just west of New Plymouth, Idaho, USA was established in the early 1990s. The congregation started when families from California began to explore the Treasure Valley area (near the Oregon-Idaho border) in the late 1980s. The first family arrived in fall 1989, with several more following the next year.
The Treasure Valley Mennonite School began in a family basement in September 1990. The congregation also met initially in the basement of a home for worship. A five-acre lot was purchased in 1994, and a church was built. A double-wide mobile home on the property served as the school until a more permanent building was erected.
In 2020 the congregation was part of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The ministers were David Nightingale and Orin Koehn.
