Tiel, a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland (1954 pop. 15,000, with 25 Mennonites; 2005 pop. 40.558) where a Kring (group) of Mennonites was founded in 1948, particularly by the activity of H. B. Kossen-van Rhijn, the widow of Pastor D. Kossen. In 1958 the membership of this group numbered 27; the minister in charge is the pastor of Wageningen; services are held seven or eight times a year.
