Thurston Woods Village (formerly Froh Brothers Homestead), a Mennonite-affiliated  retirement community, located about three miles east of Sturgis, Michigan, on U.S. route 112, was operated by the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities, Elkhart, Indiana. The home is licensed by the State of Michigan.

The institution was formerly a county home for the aged but was sold by the county to Clifford and Alfred Froh, who owned the surrounding farm land, and named it "Froh Brothers Homestead." In August 1952 the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities purchased the home and 80 acres of land. The Homestead was remodeled throughout to provide care for about 31 guests in addition to living quarters for the staff. Dedication services were held on 8 November 1953.

In the 1950s a staff of about twelve served at the Homestead under the direction of Ben and Laura Yoder, superintendent and matron. The Homestead was administered by a Board of Directors appointed annually by the Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities. Guests cared for in the home came from Mennonite churches and from the surrounding community.

In 2009 the Village consisted of a 118-unit bed nursing center, a 90-bed home for the aged and a 33-unit apartment complex (subsidized). It continued as a Mennonite-affiliated, not-for-profit corporation though services were provided for a cross-section of the community.
