The Park at Sherwood Park, Alberta began services in 1988. Harold and Marilyn Block are considered the founding leaders of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Northwest Mennonite Conference and the Mennonite Board of Missions (Elkhart, Indiana, USA).

Harold and Marilyn Block began church-planting efforts in the Sherwood Park area of Edmonton in the spring of 1988. The first worship service was held on 25 September 1988. A telecomputer system is used to evangelize in the community.

In 1995 there were no members. The language of worship is English.

The congregation met at Ottewell Community Centre (the Barn), 590 Broadmoor Blvd. The congregation ended by 1999; it was no longer listed in the 2000 Mennonite Directory.
