Sunrise Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Hesson, Ontario, Canada)
The Sunrise Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation at Linwood, ON began services and formally organized in the early 1990s. The group originated as a daughter congregation of the Maple View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.
In 1997 there were 28 members; in 2000, 36; in 2003, 38. The group has been affiliated with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.
The congregation moved about 2000 to a new building at 7892 Perth Road 121, just north of the hamlet of Hesson. (519) 595-7432. Minister Wayne Penner served in 2003 as an non-salaried congregational leader. The church also supports the Sunrise Christian School.
